Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)
I am 22 years old. I am originally from Brainerd Minnesota but have been living in Eau Claire and attending the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire where I am getting my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minoring in Family studies. Along with modeling I hope to pursue a career in Forensic Psychology, I am also a dog mom to two adorable huskies.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I was lucky enough this past September to attend Coco Rocha Model Camp in NY and be trained in pose and runway by Coco Rocha herself. After attending that camp my life changed and I began to go after what I wanted in modeling, reaching out to photographers and brands. I have been modeling for probably a little over a year now and it has given me so much confidence.
What is your biggest dream?
To break industry standards and be a runway and editorial model at only 5’4. I also want to be a muse to photographers and designers.
What does it mean to be your kind of beautiful?
I believe this means simply being yourself and not trying to be or copy anyone else.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I would describe my style as trendy mixed with streetwear and dark academia.
Who or what inspires you?
My biggest inspiration is probably Coco Rocha.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
No one is going to give anything to you, if you want it you need to go after it and follow your dream. Be proactive and go after what you want, network, take photos, etc. Practice makes perfect.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
In modeling the biggest obstacle I have had to overcome and continue to overcome is being a petite model at 5’4. I have had to work extra hard to prove myself as a model even at my height and show I can model like every other taller model. Outside of modeling I have struggled with many mental health issues and finding the right balance of medication and spiritual guidance to live a good day-to-day life.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
I believe there isn't one physical trait that makes me beautiful but the fact that there is no one else out there that looks like me, that I am a unique human being with a set of skills and that's what makes me beautiful, my uniqueness.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
I would tell them that every day you have to wake up and choose to love yourself, every part of yourself, you have to be kind to yourself and remember everything your body and mind do for you daily. Self-confidence is a battle you fight every day but it is one worth fighting.
