Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

Hey guys my name is Diana Marquez I’m full Mexican, and I’m from Augusta, GA. I am currently 18 years old and about to graduate from high school. I did gymnastics for 7 years, and am currently a varsity basketball cheerleader. I enjoy traveling, working at my parent’s restaurant and being able to hangout with friends and family.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I started my modeling journey when I was 15 years old, when I had the opportunity to train with Barbizon Modeling/ Acting Program that took place right in Augusta. Once I completed that program I received a certificate of completion.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to be a successful model in the industry and a Registered Nurse. I love being able to help others and making sure they’re okay.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

In order to be your own kind of beautiful us girls must do our things regardless of how others may look at us. You must live life to the fullest and be comfortable in who you are and who you have become. We must do this without worrying about being enough for anyone, because we all are always enough.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My type of fashion is a mix of everything! I’m very distinctive when it comes to style- I love to stand out. I wear streetwear, casual, or anything that just comes to my attention and I think is cool. It mainly just depends on how I’m feeling or type of event I’m attending. To me exploring fashion and making new looks is my comfort!

Who or what inspires you?

My mom is the person who inspires me the most. She’s one of the strongest, most loving, caring women I know. She taught me no matter how hard or difficult things get to never give up, because there’s always a rainbow on the other side.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

My biggest obstacle was the separation of my parents. I was at my lowest thinking I was never going to be happy again without a “completed” family, but I was wrong. I learned to open up, be happy with how things are, and to be grateful. I know everything happens for a reason and God is always there to help guide me.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

My love and consideration for others is what makes me beautiful. I think that no matter what, everyone is beautiful in their own unique way.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I used to struggle a lot with self confidence, but have learned to love and accept myself the way I am. Don’t wait for a big event to dress up, dress everyday to impress! Looking in the mirror and telling yourself positive words makes you feel really good about yourself.
