My name is Jackie Imperial I am 17 years old I'm from Las Vegas, Nevada originally from the Philippines. I moved here in Vegas when I was 13 which is like 4 years ago. I am a Transfemale who is very expressive towards the fashion industry. My parents are separated so I'm currently living with my mom and my step dad. I'm the only daughter but I have a lot of half siblings from my dad's side. I love taking pictures of the scenery that surrounds me, it gives me comfort looking at nature, it's like my peace of mind when i'm around it. My career drastically changed throughout the past years that went by, I used to be a drawer so like an artist then switched to music which is violin then to sports which is volleyball then to dancing which is 2 years ago but now those careers have turned into hobbies except for the violin. I'm very open minded and friendly, a very easy going person if you may say. I would love to share my story and experiences as a person and for the same community as me, that don't be afraid of what you cannot do, be afraid of something that will make you think you aren't good enough.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

My modeling experience was in Barbizon, I took that class for about 6 months and I've learned a lot of things about this industry which is very fascinating and amazing. I started last year in December then graduated this year in May, a lot of things have changed in me after taking the classes, I have become more self-aware and confident about myself.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to become a model of course but I want to tell myself someday that, "Hey look at you before and look at you now, you've been a hard worker and achieved all your dreams by not letting yourself down and have kept going". This will make me think that I have achieved my dream/s.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

The term means to become a unique kind of beauty that people haven't seen before. Don't settle for the typical beauty standard but over power the insecurities and judgement that other people have towards you. Because you're the only person that can see the true beauty within you.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is very elegant and crazy at the same time, I like to dress up depending on my mood sometimes, but I'm spending more on colors as well. My fashion style is like a "rubix cube", a very patterned color with different fabrics layered on top.

Who or what inspires you?

I'm mostly influenced by Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Kendall Jenner. By looking at these wonderful models I've discovered what kind of fashion I'm into and the style I go for. And then that's the start of myself taking interest in the modeling industry.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

I would tell them that it's a very hard industry to get into. You have a lot of things to do before getting into the community. Just have patience and once you have your future in your own hands, start working on it and I'll just say also don't settle to "hey i've achieved it" reach for satisfactions.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I think the hardest obstacle that I overcame was discovering myself, i've had some mental health issues in a way because I want to make sure that, am I really this person? Will I be happy? Those questions made me think first about what would happen if I become this person. Which turned out I am really happy, I'm way more confident and true to myself.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

What makes me beautiful is my personality and eyes, my eyes carry judgement and not my mouth.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I think I would assure them that I know it's a struggle but it's worth a try so don't stop from achieving it because at the end you'll have the last sweat on your forehead and don't even realize how much you became and worked.
