Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

My name is Jordyn Leathers. I am born and raised in Central Florida and plan on continuing to pursue modeling and acting opportunities within my local network. I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in event management and am working toward a career in live events specifically.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I have done commercial and print shoots, music videos features as well as been a model for fashion shows. I was also on the cover of Top Posters Magazine for July 2021.

What is your biggest dream?

I will be on the cover of Vogue at some point in my life. i would love to model for at least a season with everyday clothing and makeup brands like JCPenny, Rue 21, Calvin Klein, Loreal, and Cover Girl to name a few.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To me, being your own kind of beautiful means that you are confident in yourself just how you are, and your differences are what make you unique and special.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My style is dependent upon my mood and inspiration for the day. I have a pretty well rounded wardrobe, and like to mix up my appearance every now and then. No matter what I wear, I still am the same Jordyn on the inside and feel confident in anything that I put together.

Who or what inspires you?

Zendaya inspires me because of her ability to work with so many various and reputable brands. That combined with her talents amaze me and inspire me to never limit myself.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Have FUN!

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I have had to overcome an anxiety that I was having for a few months. I was just not myself. With time healing, as well as my faith, I continued to take care of myself and things got better. Being isolated with nothing to do at the start of the pandemic I had a lot of time to figure out my purpose and how I wanted to excute my passions. My self discovery has driven me to move forward to where I am today, with several accomplishments and confidence.

What would you say to another guy/ girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?

To a peer who may be struggling with confidence, just know that sometimes self-love is a journey and you need to be patient with yourself. If you want to work on your self image, practicing positive affirmations is a great start. Stimulating my brain physically and mentally helps me feel better. I try to exercise whenever possible and eat clean.
