Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)
Hi! My name’s Alaina, some call me Lain or Laney and I am 25 years old from Pittsburgh, PA.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
My modeling experience has so far been with local photographers in the Richmond, Virginia Beach, or DC area. Modeling for local photographers makes me so happy to be modeling for such local talent.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream would be to own my own farm someday with hundreds of animals.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
I think it has to do with self-worth and image. We have to reflect on who we are individually and once that is figured out, we are all beautiful in our own way. Not one person is the same!
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style is definitely trendy and eclectic. I am constantly up to date with new fashion and trying out different trends. I don’t have one type of “style.” I love all different types of clothing and will basically wear anything. I am willing to try it all!
Who or what inspires you?
My older sisters.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
Reach out to local photographers on Instagram and be personable when introducing yourself when asking to have collaborations. Having connections is key!
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
One huge obstacle I overcame was moving to a state at 23 without any family. At first it was very hard and lonely, but I did everything in my power to make friends and continue to have a good life. Being in a state alone has formed me into the independent I am now today!
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
I think what makes me beautiful as a physical feature is my smile. I’ve always been told I have a beautiful smile! Non physically, my personality and care for people close to me.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
I would tell them to keep their head up and keep trying. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems. I also recommend self reflection and finding out who you really are - it has helped me so much.
