I’m 21, from Bristol, Connecticut I am a preschool teacher in the process of getting my CDA.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I did a fashion show one time in 5th grade and thought I’d never have the chance again but now I do! I’ve modeled wedding dresses and have been featured in a magazine. 

What is your biggest dream?

To be able to inspire plus size women to wake up everyday and CHOOSE to love themselves and to model full time.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

 I think it means be yourself authentically and to never be sorry for it.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I’d describe my fashion style as subtle and sexy.

Who or what inspires you?

Nature inspires me because without anything added it is beautiful.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Just think “Why not me?”

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

 Being overweight and tall was something I had to learn to love, as a child family and friends have said things I have forgiven but won’t forget. Without those things I would of never found self love, so I’m grateful for everything I’ve gone through.

What makes you beautiful/ handsome?

I believe my skin makes me beautiful, so many black woman are insecure about their color due to American beauty standards but I make it my power instead of my insecurity.

What would you say to another guy/girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I would tell them that they were made how they were supposed to look for a reason and understanding that will make a difference in everyday life, one day at a time.
