Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

Alexis is Greek for “helper” which is how I would describe myself. Coming from Southern Ohio, I have learned the importance of respecting as well as helping others. At the young age of 21 I believe being courageous is my strong suit.

Tell us about your modeling experience. 

Around the age of 4 I realized my passion for modeling would soon rise, as I loved dressing up and performing “runway walks” in my living room. Around the age of 10 I did my first freelance shoot for a casting, I felt on top of the world. Then again when I was 13 I went in front of New View officials to hear the opinions of the people I felt were highly respected in the modeling industry. I did a few pageants in between, one of which I was sent on to Nationals. Fast forward to now I have found my new passion for the beautiful industry of modeling, I have never been more excited to learn and grow in this industry. Along with the promotional posts and product reviews I have done for company’s, I plan to dive into other areas of modeling.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to be well known in a positive way, proving not all things brought to our attention these days has to be negative. I want to unite everyone as a whole so we can understand one another.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Being your own kind of beautiful is never changing a single thing about yourself no matter what the image of “beauty” is. Draw your own lines on Beaty and do what makes you happy! Draw outside of the lines for that matter, just be you!

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is very unique because I don’t have a specific style. I feel different every day and dress to my occasion, which calls for some awesome outfit choices! I believe you should wear what makes you comfortable and happy, while maintaining your personality. Sporty and fun is what best describes my style.

Who or what inspires you?

Happiness inspires me because I believe everyone deserves happiness and growth in their life. When I learned to be happy was the day my life turned around. I will never sit around and ponder being upset ever again when I can just be HAPPY!

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My advice to someone that is starting modeling would be get comfortable with the camera being in front of you, learn your angles, learn your faces, and most importantly BE YOU!

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

One thing I used to struggle with was body image because I was labeled “too thin” by others around me. It used to feed the negative side of me, but then one day I woke up and realized I am Alexis for a reason. This body is mine for a reason. I was meant to wear this and wear it well. Modeling has helped me view myself in a totally different light than I once did. Nobody sees me like I see me. Beautiful isn’t one shape or size, it is YOU.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

What makes me beautiful is I am not afraid to be myself and do what makes me happy. For years I dreamed about doing what I love and I finally am. Beauty comes from within as well, and I believe my positive transformation in the modeling industry has helped my inner beauty shine brighter.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

If I could speak with someone my age struggling with confidence I would say focus on yourself, focus on what makes YOU happy, what drives you. From there everything only goes up, the transformation starts from inside and reflects on the outside. Trust the process.
