Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

I am from Southern India, living near Boston for about 8 years now and I just entered into my 30s. I have been modeling from the past year and am extremely glad to work with some of the finest professionals in the industry from the New England region.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I have been working as a freelance model and was seen on Dreamy Magazine (Print and Digital), issue 165 and on NK Magazine (Digital). Seen on Brand websites such as Wayna Athletics (Women's athletic apparel), Jordan Leigh Apparel. I am also an active ambassador for Morgan Bea Designs. I have been seen in designer Lalla Bee's styles in a TV show (Seekonk TV 9 - The New You Show).  I had walked for a few designers in the local fashion shows.  Apart from this, I have done acting in a short film, a music video and modeled in a short video commercial.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to become a successful supermodel /actress.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

I have understood that my beauty has always been within me and it was my job to nourish it with grace and utmost love. To me ,being our courageous, confident and conscious selves mean beautiful. I truly believe that a person's physical features to meet a certain standard does not define beauty. It is time that everyone sees it for what it is and understands that we are all gifted with unique features for a reason and that it is beautiful in itself!

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style keeps evolving and certainly depends on my feelings. I tend to prefer either a completely minimalistic look like plain t-shirt, jeans and boots with hair down or a total uptown clothing such as some patent leather with edgy shoes (cause i love shoes and shoes cannot be boring - at least for me!) or organza for softer looks and matching accessories. Typically I go for gold accessories. Recently I developed a deep interest in animal prints and neutrals as I think they do really enhance my charm. Currently I am not a fan of torn clothing styles but I do want to explore laid back ragged fashion style when i get there.

Who or what inspires you?

I keep my yesterday as my reference and try to keep evolving for the best. This inspires me and I happily welcome change. Apart from that when I see anyone who is trying to achieve something extraordinary that inspires me, it could be simple things like a 90 year old enjoying an ultra fashion makeup look for a magazine or strong entities competing, growing and supporting each other or something like a successful business donating a whole lot for the benefit of the society. It inspires me and gives me an affirmation that there is kindness, intelligence and freedom in this world.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling would be this:

- Do your homework, there is a lot of information and lots of contacts available to support you right where you are.

- Do not lose your integrity for whatever that may come

- Design your portfolio based on your goals

- and lastly keep exploring and be open to possibilities, you may not have found that one thing that may stop your breath until you find it.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

One of the biggest obstacles I have overcome and still continuing to do so is becoming a model. While I knew my forte was in modeling from a very early age (10th grade), my family and friends did not share the same views largely because of the steady income risk and inappropriate people in the industry and hence I had to pave my way and prove what I meant while also satisfying their good intentions. In this process I sure did lose some good chunk of time, but I am happy with the little financial stability it gave.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

My choices and my inner strength to handle any situation with love and grace makes me beautiful.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

When it is all over you would understand that it was for nothing that you were struggling for. Keep observing the actions, thoughts and behaviors of already established confident people (in your eyes) around you and I am sure it would not be a tough ride for you from there.
