Tell us about yourself.

My name is chelsea and I am from Sarasota, FL. I am 26 years old and is a full time teacher. I am passionate about inspiring others to pursue their dreams as I do myself. I have two dogs who I enjoy spending time with. I love a good sunset and enjoy nature walks. I love spending time with my family and friends. Serving others is a big part of my life!

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I started modeling when I was 15 years old. I have experience in runway, photoshoot, mannequin, and modeling in bridal expos in season. I enjoy all aspects of modeling.

What is your biggest dream?

I would love to create a business that educates and helps families in need.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Accepting yourself and loving yourself as you are because everyone is different and we have individual qualities that make us all unique. We should embrace our beauty.

How would you describe your fashion style?

Simple. I love a good t shirt and jeans.

Who or what inspires you?

Selena Quintanilla. Even though she is passed away for quite sometime, I understand that she continues to inspire others, including me. I love her style, personality, and voice. She was a positive role model for young women.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

To be yourself, always  and embrace the qualities you have to offer for the industry.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I had really bad acne when I started modeling at the age of 15. Everyone told me I had “the look” for modeling but was super self-conscious of my acne and how it would affect my confidence in modeling. I was able to overcome this obstacle by accepting myself for who I was no matter what and once I was able to accept this fact, I was able to embrace self confidence and get more jobs.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

My personality and smile! I love to laugh and make other people smile and laugh. I do not take life too seriously! I find my inner beauty to shine!

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I would tell another girl my age that beauty is important and that we should not look at other people and compare our own beauty with someone else’s, but to look in the mirror each morning and find the beauty in ourselves by saying one beautiful thing about yourself in the mirror each day. When we do this we practice self love and will be more likely to truly accept ourselves and our own kind of beauty.
