Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)
I am Emily, I’m 19 years old, and I’m from Manchester UK.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I have done some modeling when I was younger as well as paid collaborations with various companies. I really love modeling and fashion as it lets me express myself.
What is your biggest dream?
My dream is to do runway modeling and to be able to do NYFW and VS runway shows.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
I think the meaning of ‘your own kind of beautiful’ is you feeling comfortable and confident in yourself, without needing validation from other people. Expressing yourself how you think looks beautiful and stylish.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style would be Chic. Very classy looks. Some simple as well as some bold.
Who/ what inspires you?
Kendall Jenner is a big inspiration as well as an Instagram model/ fashion model called Lucie (@yourlu) Her style is amazing and feed is so aesthetically pleasing.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
My advise to someone getting into modeling would be, not to copy what works for someone else, as it doesn’t always work for you. Do what you love and be creative. Confidence is key!
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
An obstacle that a faced was my body and my mentally. I wanted to look like all these beautiful models. I worked out all day everyday to try and look a certain way. Until I found out that not everyone’s bodies can look that way. It’s okay to have rolls and squishy bits in places, that Curvy is beautiful.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
What makes me beautiful is my mind. I am able to tackle any obstacles big and small and always stay kind. After all, looks are enticing but don’t last forever.
What would you say to another guy/girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?
If I met a girl my age who wasn’t as confident as she should be, i would say that she’s beautiful! No matter what people say and what the stereotype is, everyone has something remarkable about them and it’s your choice to let that be seen. I am a very strong believer in fate and that everything happens for a reason and you can’t control everything so live in the moment.
