Hello! My name is Holland Rutter and I am from Chicago, Illinois. I am currently 15 years old but will be 16 on January 21st! All my life I have wanted to model and act. Ever since I was 5, I would dress up and “walk the runway”. Now because of quarantine and the pandemic, I have been putting my dreams into action. I have had so many great opportunities arise and hopefully more!

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I am just dipping into the modeling industry but I have taken some classes and done private headshot shoots.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to be a full-time actress and model. I hope to be on big clothing-line brands like aeropostale, american eagle, forever 21....etc. I also hope to be in a superhero movie!

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

I think being your own kind of beautiful means being yourself through thick and thin. Their are certain “beauty standards” nowadays but in the end, we are all different and we shouldn’t embrace that no matter what.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I would say my fashion style is clean. I prefer less designs and more simplicity.

Who or what inspires you?

I would say my mom inspires me the most. Ever since I was little she told me to be who I am on the inside in and show it throughout. She wants people see me heart and not just my outward appearance which is what I stand by today.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

I would say just go for it! Don’t hesitate, be yourself and embrace it. Really make sure to have self love and respect because it can be a difficult industry sometimes.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

In my life, I have faced bullying, rejection...etc. but in the end, it was their loss. It made me a stronger person today and really formed who I was now.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

In life I strive to be the best version of myself and that is why I am beautiful. 

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalms 139:14.

We are all made different and unique. If we were all the same, that would be boring! You were created for a purpose and you are beautiful. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
