Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add).

Hi! My name is Heidi Christine Reinhofer, and I am an American singer, actress, model, songwriter, rapper, and artist from River Grove, IL (near Chicago). You can see my performance videos, pictures, and more at HeidiReinhofer.com!

Tell us about your modeling experience.

My mom got me my very first blue digital camera when I was little, and that's how it all began. I loved capturing moments with my family and friends, and then began to put together fashionable outfits to model- in each outfit, I was able to express different parts of my personality! Once I started highschool, I got to model down the runway for the annual fashion shows and started building my portfolio by modeling for my photographer friend's photoshoots. Once I began my portfolio, I became a featured model for Bridal Beauty & Aqua Mermaid Chicago, and began booking other paid work. I am an annual runway model in the New York Fashion Week fashion shows, am represented by MMG talent agency (specializing in modeling, acting, singing, and performing), and recently I was blessed with the opportunity to be represented by Hannah Noelle Models as well!

What is your biggest dream?

I have many big dreams! My biggest dream is for the whole world to know who Jesus is, and for each and every person to have a personal relationship with Him and accept His gift of Salvation. My second big dream is to give back to my family as much as possible (I plan on taking them on vacations across the whole world- especially to Germany to show them our roots, and the Middle East to visit the Holy Lands. I also plan on helping my family become "set for life" financially- including paying off everyone's mortgage, any and all bills and college debts, saving for their futures and future families, and helping them achieve their dreams.) My third biggest dream is to help and give back to my friends, any and all people / organizations / companies that have helped me along the way, and of course, my community, country, and world at large. My fourth dream is to rap with Eminem. My fifth dream ties all of this together,... pursuing the talents God has given me to make a change in this world through visual and performing arts! (Of course, performing on Broadway would be a dream come true- specifically re-living one of my favorite roles of all time, Joan of Arc, in The Sigman Brother's original musical "Joan" once it makes it to Broadway. Aside from that, my dream-within-the-dream is also performing at The Whitehouse, Madison Square Garden, Paramount Theater, Ford Oriental Theater (James M. Nederlander Theater), LaLa Palooza, Lyric Opera, Drury Lane, Disney, with Julie Andrews, with Dick Van Dyke, with NF, and to get signed by Capitol Records with my original music to tour the world!) In the meantime, I am doing my best to balance cherishing the precious present moments right in front of me with loved ones, while continuing to work diligently towards an incredible future.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be your own kind of beautiful means to use the unique personality and gifts God has given you in a way that will positively change the world; to love others the way that Jesus loves us!

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is very diverse, but I tend to lean into vintage and old fashioned classy styles! I absolutely adore 1900's ballroom gowns, the 1920's, 70's, 80's... and I love girly style, punk rock style, hippie style, modern style... you name it! One of my favorite things to do is try on and model different styles, because it's as if I'm living in a whole new world.

Who or what inspires you?

My family has inspired me ever since I was little. I am overwhelmed with the amount of love, hard work, and dedication that my parents both poured into my life and into the lives of my 4 siblings as well. I am inspired by my mother Susie (her selflessness, creativity, silliness, sweet and thoughtful personality, hard work, and unconditional love). I am inspired by my father Ralph III (his faith in God, the way he treats others, his adventurous personality, hard work, never ending love, and dedication to our family). I am inspired by my older brother Ralph IV (his intelligence, intellect, knowledge, work ethic, giving heart, and the way he looks out for us- his younger siblings). I am inspired by my younger brother Brice (his sense of humor, helpful heart, strength, and caring soul). I am inspired by my other younger brother Josh (his unique personality, sense of humor, hard work, and fearlessness). I am inspired by my younger -and only- sister Kristen (her confidence, poise, athletic ability, talent in the arts, high level of maturity for her age, and "sisterly-love"). I am inspired by my dog Nugget for being so sweet, loving, and loyal. I am inspired by my mother's side of our family: Oma, Opa, Auntie Heidi, Uncle Jeff, and the rest of Oma's family here in the US and in Germany. I am inspired by my father's side of our family; Grandma, Grandpa, Grammy Helen, Aunt Lynn & Uncle Jim, Katie & Connor, Aunt Chris & Uncle Ken, Uncle Jim & Aunt Kathy, Susan & Jimmy, Uncle Pete & Aunt Rachel, Luke & Jake & Rebecca, and anyone else I may have missed. I am inspired by my friends, and the people who have shaped me throughout my life. But mostly, I am inspired by Jesus and his unconditional love for us all.

What have been your greatest accomplishments?

My most memorable career highlights (and honors) have included: singing the National Anthem on Soldier Field in Chicago, and starring as Joan of Arc in the musical JOAN by The Sigman Brothers at the Pheasant Run Resort. Other memorable performances I have been in: Features and appearances on Good morning America, ABC7 News, WGN TV, WCIU, FOX TV, Warner Brothers, NBC, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Chicago Parent Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Kane County Chronicle, The Daily Herald, River Grove Messenger, Elm Leaves, Skybound's "The Walking Dead", New York Fashion Week at the Skyline Penthouse, Woodstock Opera House, Pheasant Run Resort, Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, Empire, Shameless, The Exorcist, Chicago Med, Chicago PD, Red Line, Ernest Hemingway Museum, Christian Youth Theater, Spotlight Youth Theater, Overshadowed Theatrical Productions, Marquee Youth Stage, Everlasting Ever After, Fairytale Entertainment, 13th Floor Haunted House Chicago, Aqua Mermaids, Bridal Beauty in Chicago, The Sigman Brothers, MMG, and more! When I was younger, my greatest accomplishment was being the grand prize winner (twice) for the annual Nicor "Energy-By-Design" art contest across the US. I learned that it doesn't matter how young you are- it doesn't matter what your talents and differences are- you truly CAN make a difference... I got to inspire kids just like me around the country, and won a 3K home makeover for my family (which we used to buy an air-conditioning system), a 2.5K savings bond for my future, and lots of art supplies! Another childhood accomplishment was being a Girl scout, being in AWANAS, and being a part of the Elk Tribe in Indian Princesses (a daddy-daughter organization that would go camping and on adventures together) as the "Fire-Starters of the Nation" as "Little Puff" with my dad ("Flaming One"), and little sister ("Smokey").  It was an accomplishment to be homeschooled by my mother (along with my 4 siblings) up until 8th grade, to then graduate from St Cyprian School for 8th grade, and then graduate from East Leyden High School, upon being the Senior Fine Arts Award recipient. My greatest accomplishment, however, is none of these mentioned. Accomplishments are wonderful and should be appreciated for what they are and the hard work it took to get there in the first place... but accomplishments do not define a person's worth. How you treat other people at the end of the day is what truly matters- making time for those who you love and who love you, and giving grace to others without expecting anything in return. THAT is where true joy comes from.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My advice to you is to not be discouraged about how competitive the modeling industry is. Focus on YOUR individual positive attributes, and realize that your differences ARE your strengths. With acting, there are many characters... with modeling, there are many looks and styles. If modeling is something you truly enjoy and want to pursue, then start off by having a friend taking pictures of you from your best angels in outfits that accentuate you as a model. From there, build your portfolio, be on the lookout for opportunities, and work towards submitting your materials to a professional modeling agency. Also, beware of scams, ask advice, and seek reviews on any modeling agency or company's reputation and legitimacy. When I first started modeling, I had to put my old digital camera on "self-timer" mode for creative shots,... I had to go back and forth, but it was fun, and I learned a lot about how different poses and expressions really make the picture. I even put the camera on video and took screenshots,... and actually got some pretty cool photographs that way! Have faith in yourself when you're first starting out. It is more of a "risk" to never try at all, than it is a "risk" to try in the first place.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

One of the most difficult obstacles I have had to overcome was the terrible side effects that I experienced from being on a medication that was supposed to help physical pain from a medical condition. The medication had messed with my natural hormones on an extreme level. Sometimes I had way too much energy and would be stuck awake 24-48 hours because I couldn't sleep,... and I quickly became a work-a-holic, running on pure adrenaline because what I was experiencing was an abnormal super sonic kind of speed and it was incredibly difficult to just sit back and relax, let alone slow down. Other times, I fell into a very deep and dangerous place of depression and terrible anxiety where I didn't feel anything but darkness. These two states of being would alter on an abnormal basis until I finally had the doctor take out the medicine (it was inserted internally as opposed to taking doses) and once my body no longer had the foreign object in my system, it went through yet another extreme shock. I felt very suicidal and ended up in the hospital for about a week. There, I was put on a healthy kind of medicine to reverse the side-effects of the original medicine. Eventually, after the new medication helped me get back to my normal healthy state of being again, I told myself I would NEVER again take any type of medicine that has a side effect of messing with hormones. It was the worst experience I have ever gone through in my life, and I would never wish it upon anyone. During the whole process, I learned a whole lot about mental health, and became even more conscientious about other's feelings. To anyone reading this; Always ask people how they are doing, because you never know what someone is going through deep down. And if you are the one who is needing help, remember, "it's okay to not be okay", and reachout to someone today. (Suicide Prevention Hotline: 1-800-273-8255) . Jesus loves you, and so do others. You are not alone... you matter... you are precious... and you are loved.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

Jesus makes me beautiful by being inside of my heart.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Growth is uncomfortable. Confidence takes growth. My confidence is usually at my lowest whenever I know I am not going outside of my comfort zone. It is when I travel beyond my comfort zone, that I truly realize "Hey! Wait a minute... I truly AM capable of much more than I give myself credit for!" and "WOW! If I pushed through that, then I can push through anything!" Invest into your talents and goals. Make it a priority to lead a healthy lifestyle. Take on challenges- even if it means it is something you might not particularly be good at- or might find difficult! Some of the best moments of my life (and where I've felt the most confident) is when I have gone on adventures and taken risks. That reminds me... story time! Last summer, I was 2 hours away from home (out in the middle of farmlands and cornfields) after a far-away princess performance, and was brainstorming on how to fundraise one thousand dollars to help a friend go on a Guatemala Missions Trip. I could have gone home and tried to fundraise Krispy Kreme donuts in my own neighborhood, but instead, I asked a farm family for wisdom and guidance, and they led me to Chicagoland Skydiving Center in Rochelle IL! I was nervous but also excited for this new adventure, and walked right up to their HQ with an open mind. Jason, their Customer Service Representative, greeted me with a warm smile and was the very first person I met there! I was so inspired with how much Jason cared to help me help someone, and boy oh boy did we have the best adventure ever! Between the CSC team and I, we fundraised hundreds of donuts, fundraised over a thousand dollars, and had a blast getting to know each other; singing and playing guitar under the canopy outside to the wind whistling and fire dancing... and skydiving yet to come. Jason, who has become a very dear friend to me, became my boyfriend as well! I still have to go back and thank that farm family for their wisdom. But moral of the story: Regardless of if you're confident or not just yet,... be yourself, do what you love, help others, and get out there and try,... because you never know where it might lead you! Personally, the more I love others, the easier it is to love myself and grow confidence. Don't forget to balance that out with eating healthy, working out, and making a point to stay connected with loved ones!
