Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

My name is Olivia Manfredo and I am 18 years old from New Jersey. I am a very passionate individual with a desire to chase the entirety of my dreams and make a difference in the world. I am a firm believer in individuality and staying true to oneself because YOU can never be replaced. I have been a competitive dancer since the age of 7 and dancing since the age of 3 where I have instilled an abundance of teamwork, confidence, perseverance, hard work and determination not only in this art but for life. I plan to attend Penn State at the University Park campus this fall with the intended major of Broadcast Journalism to become a News Anchor one day. Life has no limits and one's strength comes from within.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

Throughout the years, I have had many modeling opportunities. I have modeled to represent my dance company and have done photoshoots for the studio. I was also a part of ExploreTalent where I was given opportunities to model for Nike, Forever 21, Coca Cola Commercial, Denny’s Commercial, Target Commercial, AirBNB Commercial and many more. I have also had a few photoshoots done for my Sweet 16, Junior Cotillion and Senior Prom. I love modeling as I feel it gives me a sense of individuality to portray myself in a personal way through poses and body language. I am thrilled to continue my journey with Hannah Noelle Models.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to model for a notable event including NYFW or brand, and become a well known public figure. This goes hand in hand with my dream of being on television as a News Anchor. I want to become famous and the best version of myself through hard work and originality. To be happy is the best thing in life.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be my own kind of beautiful means to be unique and create a personal identity unlike no other. All women are most definitely beautiful, and we must embrace our differences as this is what makes everyone special. Beauty is not only what is seen on the outside but who you are on the inside as well. To be my own kind of beautiful means I am authentic, loving, happy, caring and supportive of others. To make others feel good about themselves and to treat others the way I want to be treated is necessary to me. To laugh often. My own kind of beautiful means not valuing those opinions who I would not go to for advice. I understand my worth and have high standards because I have respect for myself. Staying true to my beliefs, morals and choices are some of the many things that make me beautiful.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is chic and couture. I always enjoy dressing to the nines, and dressing the way that makes me feel my best. I have a wide variety of clothing when it comes to fashion but the way I dress says alot about me and the way I carry myself. I have a higher-end fashion style and am often seen wearing elegant skirts or dresses, boujee blouses or jeans along with unique belts to name a few. I can also be seen in more casual clothing on a Lazy Sunday perhaps, wearing a pair of leggings with a cozy sherpa. I am a lover of fashion and have a very one of a kind sense of style to embrace.

Who or what inspires you?

My mom inspires me everyday. She has endless belief in me and is always pushing me to my greatest potential. She inspires me to be just like her; strong, selfless, goal oriented, and a distinctive  individual. I am forever grateful for the many life lessons she has taught me and the sacrifices she makes to allow me to have the life I live. She is irreplaceable and our bond is inseperable. I am forever grateful to have her as not only my mom but as my best friend!

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

To someone getting started in the modeling agency, never be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Take some photos, create a portfolio and showcase who you want to be known as. YOU are beautiful and must be confident, flexible and open to the amazing opportunities that may come your way with modeling. Find the right agency that will most benefit you and who sees your worth. Show yourself off and make the most of every experience. Just let go and have fun!

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Obstacles are an inevitable part of life that everyone must overcome. Everyone lives a different life and obstacles vary depending on the person and situation. Although, this is not what matters. The thing that matters is how we conquer these obstacles and better ourselves as a result. I have overcome the obstacle of lacking self confidence in my middle school years. I had feelings of not being good enough and constantly comparing myself to others, creating a block from focusing on myself and just becoming who I wanted to be. I always felt like I needed to fit in with certain groups instead of now realizing it is better to stand out. It was not an easy road and oftentimes I filled my headspace with self doubt. This obstacle most definitely did not last forever and I am so grateful for where I am, and who I have grown to become at this point in my life. Although we do not like facing obstacles of course, this truly made me stronger. I am a confident, happy, outgoing, determined young woman who has so many dreams and goals for her future. The best is yet to come and for anyone going through a tough time, it shall too pass.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

Beauty is subjective and is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone is their own kind of beautiful however I am beautiful because I am myself.  I am always smiling and never letting what others think affect me. I treat others with kindness and do my best to leave a mark on the world. I put 100% in everything I do and value those who are in my life. I am beautiful for my drive to conquer all of my dreams and the courage I have to pursue them. My beauty shines through from the inside onto the out. My luscious long blonde locks complemented with my crystal blue eyes creates my confident appearance, yet I am pleased to say I am beautiful on the outside but more importantly from within.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

To anyone struggling with their confidence, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! Everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin, and no matter your shape or size there is no such thing as being perfect. I strongly suggest focusing on the things you love about yourself, rather than dwelling on what you dislike. No one feels their best at every second in life, but it is about finding those moments to love yourself and appreciate all you are. Be kind to yourself and find something that makes you happy and feel good. I accept everyone for who they are and know their worth is more than their body image or the opinions of others. Do not let others' opinions affect the way you feel about yourself. It comes from within to be happy and grateful for all you have. Never let anyone treat you less than wonderful and NEVER compare yourself to others. You will shine when it is your time.
