Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add) 

Hi my name is Margarita Carlos and I am a Latina from Texas. I lived in Mexico for 3 years and have lived in Texas for most of my life. I have been on a drill performance dance team for 4 years and this year I am in my high school's Pom Squad. Dance has been an enormous part of my life, it is the way I express myself. I do not have any modeling experience but modeling has always been a dream of mine that I am ready to work for as hard as I can. I just really enjoy being in the public eye and being inspired as well as inspiring others. Having a goal to work towards is my main enjoyment in life ! I love being productive!

Tell us about your modeling experience. 

I do not have any modeling experience. The closest thing to modeling that I have done is being a fashion ambassador for clothing brands on instagram.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to become a runway model. I dream of modeling for major brands .

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be your own kind of beautiful means to love your self and every single part of your life including the bad moments! To me being beautiful is being happy with everything that has made you, you! Being your own kind of beautiful is standing out just by being yourself, therefore you should not be afraid to express yourself or be different because that is what makes you beautiful!

How would you describe your fashion style?

My Fashion Style always depends on the mood that I am in. But I believe that if I look good I feel good. I have the best days when I am feeling myself therefore no matter what I am wearing I always want to make it compliment what I seem to be more confident about that day . For example my hair, my waist, my legs and sometimes maybe even my toes :) . 

Who or what inspires you?

One person that has been inspiring me alot recently is Madison Beer. Her kindness towards everyone and her positivity is what I strive to have every day! Another person that inspires me is Kendall Jenner. I admire that she had her goal as a high fashion model as soon as she was a teen . She had amazing work effort at such a young age! I want to be as hardworking and goal oriented as she was when she was a teenager! 

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

I don't have experience, but I just know that you have to be dedicated and not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone . 

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Some of my biggest obstacles that I have overcame is my dad living in a different country all by himself with very little money. This use to affect me mentally allot and I was starting to lose interest in everything, including dance. But then one day it hit me that I have to work hard and if I work hard enough one day I will be able to help him and give him and my mom everything they deserve. 

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

What makes me beautiful is my personality! I believe that we where put on this earth to love one another and I just really enjoy spreading kindness and inspiring people. I think my personality is what I’m most confident about actually. The way I treat others always leaves me with a smile at the end of the day!

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Most of the time when I noticed another girl/guy struggling with confidence it is because they compare themselves or their life to other people's. They are always wanting more and are always looking for ways to be "perfect". I would like to tell them that no matter how how much you get, someone is always gonna have more and you are never gonna be happy until you love what you have! You want that body that model has but you will never have it because you are not them! You are YOU! You will never feel complete if you keep trying to meet beauty standards that constantly change! You are stuck with yourself so learn to love it! Remember being yourself is what makes you beautiful! Being beautiful  is never about how you look or how wealthy you are.
