Tell us about yourself.

My name is Leah Nicole Hinchee, and I am the 2020 Teen Miss Atlantic Ocean. I am 15 years old from Weirton, West Virginia. Modeling has lead me to a love for sustainable fashion, and I support it through my non-profit, Tees for Trees. It is a dream of mine to be a model and I am so happy to be represented by Hannah Noelle!

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to be able to make a difference in the world. I’ve always wanted to model and act, but I want to be able to put out a great message with it and change lives.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To me being your own kind of beautiful means to be yourself and true to yourself even if life tries to change you. Always advocate for what you love, and push to be the best you can be!

How would you describe your fashion style?

I would describe my fashion style as very urban and fashion-forward. I love my outfits to reflect my personality!

Who inspires you?

My mother inspires me every day. She raised me as a single Mom and has been with me throughout every single journey. There is not one thing I could have done without her. I love her endlessly.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My advice to an aspiring model is to never get up. You will be told no a million times before you get told yes. Never give up on your dreams, what’s meant for you will never pass you by.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you?

One obstacle that has made me who I am today is being diagnosed with hip dysplasia. I was diagnosed at 13 when I had been in a lot of pain at dance class. I’ve been through 3 surgeries to have my hip rebuilt, and I am so blessed to be cleared today!

What makes you beautiful?

Something that makes me beautiful is my ambition to make other’s lives better. I will always do whatever it takes to see a smile on someone’s face on their worst day.

What would you say to someone your age struggling with confidence?

What I would say to someone my age struggling with confidence is to embrace who you are. No one is you and you can’t be anyone else, and that is your superpower. God has a purpose for you and everything you go through is apart of your plan.
