Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add).
I was born in Monterrey, Mexico. I´ve lived in 6 different counties, including a cruise ship. I have a BA in International Relations, and a BM from Berklee College of Music. Music is one of my biggest passions along with travelling. I love the beach and airports. I’d like to adopt a child one day. I am vegan for the animals.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I decided to join HNM to model professionally. I did modeling as a hobby before. Modeling increases our confidence, and it makes us feel empowered and sexy inside and out.
What is your biggest dream?
I have quite a few. I dream of a world in which children live in safe and happy environments. Also, of a world in which all women feel empowered, confident, and beautiful, inside and out. I dream of a world without speciesism, in which all animals are respected (farm, circus, zoo, labs). It would be nice to travel to space, too.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
The way I interpret being “your own kind of beautiful” is to stay true to yourself. To accept yourself without fear of judgment or shaming. To accept yourself acknowledging your positive assets, and recognizing if there´s something you need to work on with humbleness. Every woman on this planet should be able to stay true to herself and feel confident. If you’re not hurting anyone, why not?
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style is a mixture between chic, sexy, and vibrant. I love colors.
Who or what inspires you?
I feel inspired by people who know what they want, and work hard to get it, with humbleness, patience, and tenacity. Elon Musk is someone I admire. He is persistent, and has always believed in himself and his projects.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
Please: Believe in yourself! Love yourself! If you don’t do it, don’t expect others to do it. Modeling is a wonderful form of expression that allows us to be ourselves and stay true to who we are inside and out, as we empower, and inspire others. Enjoy every single step you take in your career. Learn from your falls. A shut door shouldn’t stop you. There will be many others that will open for you as long as you BELIEVE.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
I’ve been judged by other women throughout my life when I feel I´m just being myself. A girl told me once: “I thought you were mean right after I met you. After getting to know you I realized you’re not like that”. At this point of my life, I don’t take it personal. In fact, I just take it as a compliment now. I focus on me, in working towards achieving my goals one day at a time, and on the people who really want to be part of my life.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
Knowing my worth, staying true to who I am, and focusing on doing things from my inner self. I feel very comfortable with who I am in and out. It´s not about being a pretty face, or having a shaped body, it´s about how you feel deep down. I feel sexy, I feel confident. Beauty is not on the outside, it comes from within.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
The older you get, the wiser you become. Each and every experience, good or bad, makes you grow. There will always be obstacles, but what makes the difference on the outcome is show you face them. Many doors will be shut. Be aware of that. Just know that you have to be persistent. It took me a while to get where I am right now. I´ve fallen, I´ve made mistakes. That made me learn and grow professionally, but most importantly: as a human being.
