Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add).

Hi! I’m Jordan. I’m originally from Michigan but I moved out to California for college and have stayed out here ever since. I am 24 years old and I have a bachelors in sports medicine and a masters in sports psychology. I have been a competitive cheerleader for the past 15 years of my life. I have won the collegiate national championship four times and placed second at the world championship once. I love staying active with cheer, hiking, going to the beach and anything outdoors!

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I don’t have any modeling experience. My mom used to be a photographer when I was little and she would always use me to test out equipment, new ideas, ect,. so I’m used to being in front of a camera.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to be able to use my psychology dream and help people overcome obstacles they have faced in life. I also want to be able to help support my future husband and family in whatever dreams they have in life.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be your own kind of beautiful means to look what is the “normal” beauty standard in today’s world. To be comfortable in your own skin and to feel happy when you see yourself in pictures or yourself in the mirror despite what society says you should feel about your body.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style varies day to day. My usual go to is a pair of ripped up mom jeans, black tube top, and some black converse. But up also not afraid to rock a skirt, booties, and cute top. I tend to stay towards the cool colors. But I’ve started to throw some yellows into my closet lately.

Who or what inspires you?

My mom inspires me. She has always made sure to give me the best life she could. She raised me basically by herself from the age 13 on. She has been my rock and best friend throughout my whole life. She is such a leader and positive person and I aspire to be like her for my children some day.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

One of the biggest obstacle I have faced in life was being diagnosed with epilepsy in July of 2019. I had my first seizure August 2018 and no one knew what was happening. It took them about a year to diagnose me. I had multiple seizures before being diagnosed. When I was diagnosed I cried and thought that my life had to change drastically. And in some ways it did. I had to change some lifestyle habits to make sure I had a healthier life. My medications side effects were rough at first and made the whole process a lot harder. I even lost my license for 4 months because I couldn’t keep my seizures under controls. But with my awesome support system, some lifestyle changes, and a positive mindset, I was able to get my license back and I just celebrated 7 months seizure free!

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

I think my positive attitude and love for others makes me beautiful. I always can be that person to lean on if you need someone to talk to.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I would ask them their favorite thing about themselves. Make them focus on those things instead of all the negatives. And if they can’t find the positive in themselves find it for them. It doesn’t have to be physical. Compliment their sense of humor, kind heart, or laugh.
