Tell us about yourself
I am originally from Southern California. I was born at Hoag hospital in Newport Beach and lived in Anaheim until I was ten years old. When I was ten, I moved to North Carolina. When I was 16, I moved to Newport Beach. Now at 24 years old, I currently reside in Los Angeles, California.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I have yet to professionally model, but I have had multiple photoshoots with multiple photographers based out of Los Angeles, California.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream….I have always dreamed of becoming a world known model. I would love to create a platform through modeling that allows me to use my voice to change the world. And of course, I absolutely dream of shooting a Gucci campaign with Harry Styles.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
To me, to be your own kind of beautiful means to feel beautiful in your own skin. Prior to getting an esthetician, I struggled with finding beauty in my natural image because I was extremely self-conscious about my skin. Two years after getting an esthetician, my skin is absolutely glowing. Now that I have clear skin, I am now able to feel my own kind of beauty through my natural beauty. To be your own kind of beautiful means to be able to feel beautiful even if you feel that you fall short of society’s standards of what is defined as being beautiful.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I would describe my fashion style as street-chic. I love a cute pair of distressed denim jeans matched with a black crop top and a nice pair of boots. But at the same time, I love a cute summer dress.
Who or what inspires you?
I am inspired by Harry Styles. Throughout his years of being in the industry, he has not once had a scandal. He handles all public situations with nothing but the utmost compassion and grace. It inspires me to watch someone of the level of fame that he is at to strive for a better world. I love that his brand is “Treat People With Kindness”. We need more people in this world who strive to have a good heart and to promote kindness and that is exactly what he does.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
First and foremost, my advice to someone who is just starting out with modeling is to not give up. Keep going, no matter how far of a dream it seems. Shoot with local photographers and build your own portfolio by doing so. Make your Instagram public so potential scouting agents are able to view your content.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
When I was 16, my father decided that he no longer wanted to be a father. He stopped working, resulting in the foreclosure of my childhood home. We were living out of cars and living out of hotels. After experiencing something so scary and so uncertain, I made a promise to myself that I would never allow myself to be in that position ever again as an adult. This being said, once I had a stable living situation again, I have always worked incredibly hard to independently support myself and to give myself a wonderful life. Whether this was working at a mediocre grocery store, juggling two restaurant jobs, or pursuing modeling, I have always done whatever it takes to make sure I can support myself while still enjoying life.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
I whole heartedly believe that I am physically beautiful, but I think the most beautiful part about me is my heart. There is nothing more important to me than being kind to those around you and being a good friend. I am a big believer in being the very best friend and person that you can be. I believe that if you have a chance to make someone’s day, you absolutely should.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
As I’ve gotten older, I have genuinely realized that as long as I’m happy with myself, others opinions don’t matter. You have to find the beauty from within. Whether that be the beauty of your personality or your physical beauty, make sure that you find the beauty in yourself from within. As long as you feel beautiful, absolutely no one can take that away from you.
