Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

I’m a 100% Puerto Rican Latina. For years I hated my natural hair because it was so different. Now I have learned to absolutely love my curls because they’re different. By loving my curls I also embrace my true heritage.

Tell us about your modeling experience. 

I never thought I could model until I became a pageant queen. Becoming Miss World America New Jersey really opened my eyes to my true beauty. People started to tell me I should model because my look is unique!

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

As one who hated my natural hair, it’s learning to love it. Learn about your hair and what products make it best. Learn about your body and what styles show it off. Truly leaning about yourself is being your own kind of beautiful.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I have a few different styles depending on my mood! Overall I’m modern classy. Sometimes I rock athletic style and others I strut a glam look. 

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

BE YOURSELF! Learn to work with your features. Develop your own “signature look” without trying to mimic others.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I had open heart surgery as an infant that left me with a chest long scar. For years I was so shy and embarrassed of it. Now I don’t try to hide it! It’s proof that I am stronger and am truly a miracle born for something amazing.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

My soul. I believe kindness can change the world. By being kind and having a giving soul, one by one I can change the hearts and lives of others.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Laugh like no one is watching, smile like it’s your last, because others will cherish your natural happiness. That alone is confidence.
