Tell us about yourself.
My name is Faye Leyva, and I am 18 years old. I was born in the Philippines but I grew up in Canada.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream has been to break modeling industries and walk some of the most iconic runways as a 5’0ft model. I also want to become a pediatrician and have my own bakery.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
To be beautiful is to be yourself and taking care of yourself. I think that everyone is beautiful when they respect one another.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I also model with Numa Management and have done workshops and photoshoots.
What is your dream brand to model for?
I want to model for some of the most iconic brands such as Louis Vuitton, Victoria’s Secret, Nike, etc.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I have a mixed fashion style depending on what inspirations I find or the mood I’m feeling; it can be girly, boho, casual, streetwear...
How important is self-awareness and confidence to you in your everyday life?
When I was in middle school, I used to get bullied for what I wore or how I looked. Overtime I learned to not care what others think of me; it really helped with focusing on myself and gaining the motivation I need to achieve my goals. There are also times where I struggle with anxiety so I really try to think of happy thoughts.
What makes you beautiful?
I think my flaws makes me beautiful because it makes me different from everyone.
What would you say to another girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?
Gaining confidence used to be a problem for me but if you learn to not care about the negativities it will really help boost your confidence. Also just focus on what will make you happy, it may sound hard but it actually REALLY helps :)
