Tell us about yourself

I’m originally from Santiago, Chile and have been living in Los Angeles for three years now. I grew up bouncing from country to country due to my father’s work. I had the pleasure too live in eight different countries, change schools six times, and meet people from all around the world. Basically I was born in Chile, had my first steps in El Salvador and Costa Rica, began School in Panama, learned to ski in Switzerland, came back to Central America for 4th grade in Guatemala, moved back to Panama for middle school, did my senior year of high school in Brazil, and lastly moved on my own to the US to get my BFA in Acting for Film at The New York Film Academy. Despite having lived in so many countries, I am Chilean and that’s something many people get confused about when I introduce myself. My entire family is from Chile and I go visit them once a year. I went to international schools, where all of my classes were taught in English so I’ve been Bilingual ever since I began going to school. I took some French classes in Switzerland but I never became fluent; however when I moved to Brazil my biggest goal was too become fluent in Portuguese before I moved somewhere else. At my 22 years of age, I'm proud to say, I am currently trilingual, but I would love to learn more languages.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to successfully make a living on what I love. I do Modeling but I am also an Actress, Producer, Writer, Editor, and Director. I love to create so as long as I am still moving people with my creativity I will be happy.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To me being your own kind of beautiful is accepting and owning who you are with all your flaws and strengths. It's ok to be inspired be other people, but at the end of the day you got too be yourself.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I've been working as a freelance model for almost 4 years now. My initial experience as a model was through photography students in my area. Since then I've worked as lifestyle, beauty, editorial, lingerie, and (petite) runway model. This year I got the chance to model for Melynda Varela for the Social Fashion Week LA, presented by Social Mix LA, as an installation model. My most recent training was with with Mandy Dyonne Lieveld, Model Coach for NEXT, Elite, IMG and Ford.

What is your dream brand to model for?

My dream brand to model for is Carolina Herrera.

How would you describe your fashion style?

When I'm not lounging in my PJs, my fashion style is a mixture of bohemian and whimsical style. It's very relaxed, yet funky. Appears to be "thrown together" but is actually a thoughtful combination of colors and patterns. I love denim, earth tones, and suede; however, I also like quirky prints like florals and paisleys.

How important is self-awareness and confidence to you in your everyday life?

Self-awareness and confidence are both important in my everyday life. Anytime I feel discouraged or start coming up with excuses for myself, I have to take a step back and look at why I started this journey and how far I've come. It's important to remember your worth and believe that you are enough to accomplish anything you set your mind to.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

This is such a tough question. Many people are afraid to talk about their looks, because they don't want to sound vain and end up saying positive things about their personality. Nothing wrong with that, but theres is also nothing wrong in saying "I have great eyebrows." They are both expressions of self love. In my opinion, what makes people beautiful comes from the inside and is projected on their outside. I am a kindhearted person and that translates on to my sweet smile ;)

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I would say worry about yourself first. As in, care about what you want and what you believe in first instead of other peoples opinion about you. There will be many people trying to tear down your confidence, or you might do it to yourself by being too hard on yourself. At the end of the day, if you believe in yourself and keep working hard your confidence will build. Basically focus on yourself, do what you love, and fake it until you make it! Cliche but effective.
